Description

The start of the lesson reviews describing number patterns on a term to term basis by calculating missing terms within the sequence.  The development phase builds on this by generating a formula, called the nth term, to algebraically describe a numerical sequence.  As learning progresses students are challenged to derive the nth term for a fractional sequence by considering its numerator and denominator and separately.  The plenary is used to assess each of the three differentiated learning objectives by matching up a sequence with its corresponding nth term formula.
